Flamingo week

The services offered at the children’s hospice are not only focused on the child with a life-limiting illness, but also on their parents, siblings and relatives. At the children’s hospice, our sick guests and their families benefit from various services:

  • Hospital school: All school-age, sick guest children benefit from our hospital school services. Specially trained special needs teachers also offer support tailored to the individual needs of the children during the official school vacations from Monday to Friday.

  • A visit from Mr. and Mrs. Dream: twice a month, two artists from the Theodora Foundation visit us and provide magical and touching moments at the Flamingo Children’s Hospice.

  • Sound time: musical sound moments touch the heart and soul once a week

  • Visits from dog owners with therapy dogs: We are delighted to be able to offer encounters with therapy dogs as part of our hospice work. The calming effect of animals on guests has been proven.

  • Animal encounters at the Flamingo Children’s Hospice and at the Bollenrütihof: With a trip to the Bollenrütihof, we offer unique animal experiences in the surrounding area. The small animals also love to visit us at the Flamingo Children’s Hospice.

  • Accompanied hours in the studio, in nature or on excursions: A varied program offers all guests, parents, siblings & relatives different activities. The respective offers can be found in the program of the current “Flamingo Week” on site.

  • Pastoral care: We are happy to offer you the opportunity to contact the hospital’s pastoral care team. Representatives of various religions are regularly on site at the Flamingo Children’s Hospice.
