Day of children’s hospice work

Day of children’s hospice work

The Day of Children’s Hospice Work was launched on 10 February 2006 by the German Children’s Hospice Association. Since then it has been held annually on this day.

In Switzerland, too, we would like to draw attention to this important day and its significance!

The aim of the “Children’s Hospice Work Day” is to raise awareness of children’s and young people’s hospice work and the services it offers, to encourage people to volunteer, to find financial supporters and to remove the taboos surrounding the topic of “death and dying of young people”.

The green ribbons and bows worn on this day symbolically connect affected families with friends and supporters, expressing the hope that more and more people will join forces with sick children, adolescents, young adults and their families.
